What is an Initial Assessment?

If you’re unsure which level you should be starting at, an Initial Assessment will give you, and us, a better idea of where to begin.

You’ll be asked increasingly more difficult questions according to the answers given until a final result is reached.

This fully interactive assessment usually takes about 20 minutes to complete. It will give you a clear indication of your current level in English or maths from Pre-Entry to Level 2. The results will help to determine what level you should enrol on.

What is a Diagnostic Assessment?

This is the second part to your Initial Assessment and takes on average 40 minutes to complete.

The Diagnostic Assessment will give a much more detailed score and produces an Individual Learning Plan (ILP).

Your Individual Learning Plan will highlight gaps in your knowledge which will allow you to improve areas where you are weakest.

You can even print the Individual Learning Plan if you wish for future reference.
